Jack Meeks, CPA, CFE, ASA, ABV

As President of Jack Meeks & Associates, CPAs, LLC, Jack has advised hundreds of Jacksonville’s citizens and businesses over a career spanning almost 50 years. A Northeast Florida native, Jack is a CPA, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), is accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) as well as a practicing Receiver and Expert Witness.

Jack has the experience to simplify complex financial information. His area of emphasis since 1988 has been expert witnessing – analyzing the financial aspects of, and giving testimony in legal cases involving business or personal damages, eminent domain and fraud. He has been called to witness in court more than approximately 50 times, has been deposed more than 100 times. He assists litigators representing individuals, businesses, and corporate or government entities in any financial dispute. Jack is also trained and practiced in assessing business values for the purpose of sale or purchase.

In the early part of his career, Jack worked in the Jacksonville offices of two of the field's elite accounting companies. As an Auditor at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Company (now KPMG Peat Marwick) Jack conducted audits for the firm's distribution and manufacturing clients. After completing his accounting degree at the University of Florida, Jack launched his career as a Staff Accountant at Arthur Young & Co. (which later became Ernst & Young). His early area of emphasis was audit.

Jack served on the City of Jacksonville’s Downtown Investment Authority (DIA). He is the former Chairman of the Victims Assistance Advisory Council and a former member of the City of Jacksonville’s Ethics Committee.

Karen Conn, CFE

Chief Operations Officer

Karen is the Chief Operations Officer for Jack Meeks & Associates CPAs, LLC, and has been with the company since 1994.

As a Property Manager for a number of historic buildings in Jacksonville's Springfield neighborhood and downtown, Karen works with tenants and vendors to maintain the historic beauty of these properties.

The Firm works with attorneys, business owners and the courts on Receivership projects. Karen is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for the Receivership, reviewing the books for fraud, maintaining and developing vendor and employee relationships, and working with the Receiver.

Karen is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Florida and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
